All About Being Innovative
About PDS Group
"What makes us stand out is our insatiable appetite for progress in our chosen field. We design our software to honour the fundamental scientific principles of the domain, and the functional and non-functional requirements of the solution, and then we inject the practical, intuitive features that make it easy for people to use in their everyday workflows.
To do that outstandingly well, time and time again, takes much more than well-managed software engineers, it takes a sustained management commitment to a multi-disciplinary R&D team of scientists, technologists, and engineers established with the mission to create cutting-edge technology that is simply the best at what it does, and then find ways to make it even better." -Steve Daum, Founder and Managing Director PDS Group |

We draw inspiration from the achievements of others, reminded by historical triumphs that possibility lies where desire and imagination meet passion, dedication, precision, and grit. The road to our greatest human achievements is paved with conviction, ingenuity, and ultimately glory. |

The tenacity of the thousands of scientists and engineers faced with regular defeats before Apollo 11’s moon landing in 1969, reminds us that with human endeavour comes failure; each failure taking us one step closer to the right answer. The decade-long Apollo program demonstrates ingenuity and commitment on a truly massive scale, all fueled by a shared passion to make that “one small step” possible. |

Alan Turing’s pioneering research into the mathematics of computing is foundational in computer science and artificial intelligence. His unwavering determination to realise ingenious working applications of his theories gave birth to the code-breaking, Enigma Machine, and the first-ever computer capable of storing its program. We are inspired by his achievements, even more so because of the sacrifices he was forced to make in his personal life. |

For Jean-Francois Champollion the Rosetta Stone was a puzzle that had to be solved. He struggled for years, overcoming the suspicion and hostility of post Napoleonic Europe, to gather and analyse fragmented artefacts and literary sources that would enable him to derive a consistent phonetic and ideographic interpretation of the hieroglyphs. His motivation enabled him to succeed, producing a dictionary that helped archaeologists bring to light the incredible scientific, societal and engineering achievements of the Ancient Egyptians. |

James Watson and Francis Crick were the dynamic duo whose unique blend of genius and shared scientific passion, enabled them to formulate DNA’s enigmatic double helix structure, and deduce its role in cell reproduction. Their achievement was made possible by years of hard-won discoveries by fellow scientists working across the world who inspired them to succeed, and who in turn were inspired by them. |

A brilliant, theoretical and experimental scientist, Marie Curie won Nobel Prizes in both physics and chemistry. Through relentless research, she discovered polonium and radium, formulated the theory of radioactivity, and pioneered medical applications in radiology and radio therapy. Showing true grit, she took her mobile units into WW1 battlefields; the X-rays she received there eventually proving fatal. In dedicating her scientific genius to the benefit of mankind, she made the ultimate human sacrifice. |
